Born in Rome in 1976.
He lives and works in Pesaro.

Gabriele Arruzzo draws from a heterogeneous catalog of iconographic materials collected and archived over the years. Through digital editing, he combines individual motifs, images, and visual metaphors to form the basis of his painting process. Crucial to him is that all of this is done, or rather re-done, by hand, since through this long exercise he can “possess” the subject he paints, connecting it to different worlds and genres, to ancient stories and contemporary imaginaries, within a painting constructed around enigmatic and metaphorical references.
