The last day of the Asincronie Festival will be dedicated to Palestinian cinema, featuring the participation of director and artist Emily Jacir. The event will begin with a video message from Romana Rubeo, a writer and journalist for the "Palestine Chronicle," providing a firsthand account of the current situation in Gaza. Following this, there will be screenings of the short films "Scenes of the Occupation from Gaza" (1973), “letter to a friend” (2019) by Emily Jacir, with the director in attendance, and "Nakba: The Palestinian Catastrophe" (2018) by Monica Maurer, which addresses the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and the forced exodus of 800,000 people.
The event is held in collaboration with the Ponti Non Muri association, the Palestine Film Institute, the Al Ard Film Festival, and AAMOD – Fondazione archivio audiovisivo del movimento operaio e democratico.
The Asincronie Festival is conceived and curated by the collective of filmmakers and photographers 4CaniperStrada, with support from the Fondazione di Sardegna, the Ministry of Culture, and in collaboration with international cultural institutions.
