The placement of The Big Archive 1994-2014 at the Royal Palace of Carditello holds strategic importance for the promotion and enhancement of art in the region. The Royal Site of Carditello, a long-standing cradle of artistic exchanges, is now embracing contemporary art. This significant project, curated by Ferdinando Creta, is made possible by the funding from the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, as part of the twelfth edition of the Italian Council Call. To reinforce the project concept, an international exhibition has been be held in collaboration with the Civic Gallery of Ptuj in Slovenia, a historic crossroads of cultures and a meeting place between past and present. The artwork, composed of 66 galvanized iron crates and 9 tarred fiberglass vases of various shapes and sizes, was created in 2014 for the Madre Museum in Naples, where it was exhibited on loan for about seven years.
